Brown Coffee
Whenever my friends and I want coffee or simply need some downtime, Brown Coffee is often our go-to. We love the taste, reasonable prices, and convenient locations. It seems like there’s a Brown Coffee branch almost everywhere in Phnom Penh!
What I also love about Brown Coffee is the interior design. Each branch has its own unique style and atmosphere. I’ve visited five branches so far, and each one has a different vibe. The cafés are popular with everyone from students to businesspeople. You’ll often see students studying together over coffee or businesspeople having meetings.
Brown Coffee serves more than just coffee and pastries. They also offer salads, sandwiches, and pasta. My personal favorites are the Chicken Salsa Salad and Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta.
For drinks, I usually go for the Caramel Macchiato Frappé, Passion Fruit Smoothie, Palm and Cookies Frappé, or Soya Vanilla Strawberry Frappé.

Arun Cafe
I can still remember the first time I went to the café. It was in October of 2020 when my friend and I were looking for a café to unwind after a long week. Arun café was recommended on our café near me searches. Ever since we've been going back to the place for food and relaxation.
They serve Western and some Asian cuisine. They have salad, pizza, sandwiches, pasta, burgers, cakes, yogurt, rice and noodle dishes, and a variety of hot and cold drinks. It may be a bit pricey compared to other cafes in the area, but it is worth it. Check out the menu here.
Java Creative Café Toul Kork
Java Creative Café is a café and community art space. I’ve visited twice, and I still remember the sweet potato drink I had during my first visit in 2019. I believe it was a special that day, and it was delicious!
On my recent visit, I was surprised by the generous portions. I ordered the Grilled Beef Salad Bowl, and it was huge—easily enough for two people!
What makes Java Creative Café stand out is its focus on the arts and creative community. They regularly host art exhibitions, artist talks, plays, creative markets, and other events. If you’re interested, check their social media pages for upcoming activities.
Food and drinks range from around US$3 to US$11. The café is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can also order delivery through their website, Foodpanda, or Nham24.
Doi Chaang Coffee TK 289
Doi Chaang Coffee TK 289 has a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and catch up with friends. The café also serves a variety of food, including salads, sandwiches, rice and noodle dishes, and Thai cuisine.
The café seems to be popular with students, office workers, and businesspeople in the area.
Prices range from around US$2 to US$5.50. Delivery is available through
Nham24 and Foodpanda. The TK 289 branch is open Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
I’ve been to Flat White Café once, and I’ll definitely be back! It’s a lovely café with a great selection of drinks, cakes, and pastries. If you enjoy taking photos, you’ll also find plenty of Instagram-worthy corners around the café.

Dance Bakery and Café

My friends and I love Dance Bakery and Café! They offer a great selection of bread, pastries, cakes, and drinks at reasonable prices.
Some of my favorites are the egg tart, milk butter toast, sweet potato toast, panda tiramisu, and brownie bear.
Prices range from US$0.60 to US$9, and the café is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. You can also order through Nham24, Foodpanda, and E-GetS.
