A Poem: What if...Would you?

What if everything that makes you happy is gradually suffocating you?

Would you endure?

Would you just let go?

What if people you dare to love and trust betray you?

Would you forgive?

Would you dare to love and trust again?

What if everything that you dreamed of is slowly unfolding right before your eyes yet killing you?

Would you make a detour?

Would you give up?

What if your commitment is your suffering?

Would you commit to suffer or would you suffer to commit?

What if...?

These "what ifs" sprang from a conversation I had with a dear friend.

We all have our "what ifs".
